Happy Birthday, Sridevi Kapoor! Here’s how the diva has embodied the truest form of beauty one saree at a time – View pics

Sridevi turns 54 today and her glorious fashion book is replete with some of the best saree moments.

Nothing makes a woman look more beautiful than a saree does! True, ain’t it? Well, the ethereal Empress and the enchanting saree muse, who ruled the roost in the ’90s, Sridevi, turns 54 today. Born on August 13, 1963, Sridevi’s charm, grace and poise are a class apart. Personifying the adjectives, sophistication and sensual all at one go, Sridevi still makes heads turn and hearts skip a beat. The imagery of Sridevi dancing sensuously to Kaate Nahi Kat Te from Mr.India is intact in our minds as we believe Sridevi is one B-town diva who has mastered the rare knack to effortlessly pull off the nine-yard and add a slice of subdued glamour to it.

Known as the sexiest garment ever, that is versatile and suits any face and body type, playing the right amount of peek-a-boo and yet covered, saree is truly an Indian woman’s best friend. In the globally confused world, the saree has an added advantage of being omnipresent and retaining a distinct identity. Without much ado, let’s jog down the memory lane and revisit some of Sridevi’s best saree moments.
