Princess Charlotte may be just four years old, but she isn't afraid of being vocal in public. At baby brother Louis' christening last July, the young Princess sassily told the waiting photographers "you're not coming" to the party afterwards. But Prince George, despite being almost two years older than his sister, remains far more tight-lipped in public.
In fact, if I'm remembering correctly, we've never actually heard the five-year-old future King speak on camera. Until now, that is, when a new video shared by Kensington Palace features Prince George saying words. Wild.
The video was filmed over the weekend, when Kate Middleton brought husband Prince William and their three children to visit the Back To Nature Garden she co-designed as part of the Chelsea Flower Show. After initially releasing a series of photographs of the family playing in the garden, Kensington Palace released the latest film on Twitter last night which sees William asking: "What would you give it out of ten, George?" in reference to the Back To Nature Garden.
Prince George, swinging on the rope ball, enthusiastically shouts: "Twenty!"
And there, my friends, you have it. Words uttered from the mouth of Prince George. This may be the first, but it sure won't be the last time we ever hear the young royal speak, with a future ahead of him as reigning monarch.
"Twenty out of ten? That's pretty good," Prince William replies to his son. "I think Mummy's done well."
Kate Middleton, who is crouching down with a now-walking Prince Louis elsewhere in the garden, chimes in: "How amazing is that!"
The Duchess of Cambridge designed the garden along with landscape architects Andrée Davies and Adam White with the intention of inspiring children, families and communities to get outside and enjoy the huge benefits that nature can have on physical and mental wellbeing. After a sneak preview for William, George, Charlotte and Louis on Sunday, other members of the royal family including Queen Elizabeth and the Countess of Wessex paid a visit to her project yesterday.
And it seems the building of the garden was quite a family affair, as George, Charlotte and Louis have apparently all helped Kate to gather moss, leaves and twigs over the past few months to be used as decoration.
In another video, captured by ITV, the Cambridge kids' enthusiasm for their mum's project is pretty clear. At one point, Princess Charlotte can be heard loudly shouting, "Ooh la la!" as she explores new parts of it.
Oh, these guys and their family goals.
