Never like the 'girls'...

The girl from Kandhulimari, a small village in Assam, was never like the other girls, says her father. Youngest of five siblings, the humble rice farmer’s daughter first went to the paddy fields at the age of 12. She would plough and flatten the field with cow, and often join her father in patal cultivation.
