Hina Khan has yet another feather to attach to her cap filled with many accomplishments. The actress became the first-ever Indian television celebrity to be invited for the 39th India Day Parade in New York to celebrate India’s 73rd Independence Day, which took place on August 18, 2019 at Madison Avenue. This marks Hina's second international outing after her Cannes 2019 debut, where she rocked the red carpet (and wore better clothes than most celebs) in stylish and trendy ensembles. But for the India Day Parade, Hina chose to go all traditional and sported a saree with minimal minimal accessories and was seen waving the Tri-Colour proudly and was all smiles. The actress uploaded pictures from the event and also wrote down a heartfelt post on how proud she was to be representing India at the event.
Take a Look at it Below:
Hina and boyfriend Rocky have been in NYC for the past few days and were seen painting the town with all shades of their escapades. However, when it came down to business, Hina represented India with pride. She also acknowledged how people in the U.S.A welcomed her with warmth and appreciation and that she couldn’t be any happier. Talking to IndianExpress, before her trip, Hina had told them, "I know! Honestly, I was blown away. A lot of good things are happening whether it is this honour or the fact that I walked the Cannes red carpet. I am going to represent my country at the 73rd Independence Day celebration in New York. So, it feels great,"
