It’s half a century since a group of men made history by walking on the moon, uniting the world in what has become an iconic moment.

Hundreds of millions of people tuned in to radios or watched the grainy black-and-white images on TV as Apollo 11’s Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin set foot on the moon on July 20, 1969, in one of humanity’s biggest technological achievements.

The words: “That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind” have become symbolic in so many ways, and forever linked to the historic moment.
