India-Australia 3rd Test: India’s Day-Out; Australia Takes Lead of 197 Runs after Choking India’s First Innings

The third day of the third Test match has been in Australia’s favor as they showed power packed all-round performance today against India; Australian bowlers managed to take 8 wickets in first two sessions. They restrict India on 244 runs and trail them by 94 runs till the first half of the match.

After India’s innings Australia scored 103 runs losing 2 openers till the stumps. Earlier Indian star pair Pujara and Rahane started in their way; though Rahane give his wicket early to Cummins. India’s most backed batsman in the series Hanuma Vihari found unlucky while he got run out by Hazlewood; he scored just 4 runs in 38 balls.

Pujara on the other hand played patients game he scored big partnership with Rishabh Pant in the middle. But Pant seems uncomfortable after he injured his hand while batting.  He scored 36 runs and got catch out by Warner. Pujara scored his 25th Fifty but got caught behind the stumps by Paine in the over of Cummins.

In the bowlers game Jadeja scored quick 28 runs with 5 fours but didn’t get same intent from non-striking end. In the second innings of Australia Pucovski and Warner surrendered in front of Indian pacers. Siraj got Pucovski in 6th over while Ashwin got Warner in 10th over by LBW out.

Whereas Labuschagne and Steven Smith totally controlled in situation; with playing patients game they scored 60+ runs partnership till the day end. Australia is leading by 197 runs, it’s quite a big lead in this match and India have to bounce back quickly tomorrow if they want expected results at the end of the match.
