India and Australia started their 4th and last Test match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy today on 15 January 2021. The Gabba Test will be a series decider and ultimately crucial match for both the teams as it will give the most dominant team in this series on the result day.

On day 1 Australia won the toss and opted Bat first. The decision got wrong while David Warner got out in the very first over of the innings. Though India played a whole new bowling attack in the most crucial match of the tour, Washington Sundar and T Natrajan made their debuts in International Test Cricket Format while Shardul Thakur made series debut in the final match.

The bowling unit led by Mohammad Siraj strike well in the early overs of the match when Shardul Thakur too got the wicket of Marcus Harries. Australian star player Steve Smith and Marnus Labuschagne then played out the first session with their patience method.

Later on Washington Sundar broke the partnership and got big fish Steve Smith in the cart. T Natrajan too managed to take his first wickets in International test career when he took important wickets of Labuschagne and Matthew Wade.

India would continue dominating Australian innings tomorrow as Australia has the last pair of recognized batsmen Tim Paine and Cameron Green; both looked set in the end of the innings in Day 1. It would be interesting to watch if they continue their play early in the morning on Day 2.

India has 5 wickets to wrap up Australia’s innings so there are chances India would bat tomorrow till the last session. Indian pacer Navdeep Saini got injured in the pace attack today; India would hope he will be back soon in the attack.
