Third Test match between India and Australia is getting into the important turns now. Day 2 has been a long one for both the teams; Australia expected more but got all-out on 338 runs despite two batsmen scoring 90+ runs.

India while chasing the total started well with the 70 runs opening partnership. At the stumps of Day 2 India lost 2 wickets in 96 runs. Rahane and Pujara stayed strong and rigid on the field. That shows that they would hold tomorrow as well.

Australian bowlers had to struggle against Indian batsmen. Rohit Sharma and Shubhman Gill build a comfortable partnership and then Pujara and Rahane dominated with their master class. Still the two wickets Australia has got today would help them to strike in the early morning.

Just like Australia’s 1st innings where they seem strong on day one but lose the momentum on day two in the first session, India would follow the trend. Also India didn’t saw big innings from any batsmen after Rahane till now in the series.

Talking about the numbers India would like to chase down the score and atleast get the lead of more than 100 runs. But for that players will have to beat Australians in their way. And if they don’t chase it down then it will be difficult for them to win the match.

Brief Scores:

Day 2

AUS 1st Inns: 338/10
