India Vs Australia 3rd Test: Labuschagne, Pucovski Fluent Against Indian Bowlers

In the 3rd Test match of India tour of Australia, the hosts won the toss and chose to bat against the Indian team at the Sydney Cricket Ground. At Tea, day 1, second innings, after 31 overs, Australia 93/1, Will Pucovski (54*), Marnus Labuschagen (34*), Mohammed Siraj (1/33). The second session of the day belonged to the Aussies as they scored 72 runs in 23.5 overs without losing any wicket.

Marnus Labuschagne and Will Pucovski walked out to bat in the second innings after the weather was cleared for the play. The two batsmen have shown immense solidity in their defence and have been taking their own time in scoring runs. Labuschagne and Pucovski conjured 87 runs for the second wicket partnership. Pucovski looked comfortable against the likes of Jasprit Bumrah and Ravichandran Ashwin, was dropped twice by Rishabh Pant and went to score a half-century on his debut. Labuschagne continues his battle against Ashwin, the right-handed batsman dominated the off-spinner in the second session.

Labuschagne and Pucovski finished the second session for Australia and will be looking for a huge second-wicket partnership with a deep batting line-up. In the first session of day 1, 23.5 overs were bowled, while 72 runs were scored at the run rate of 3.02 runs per over.
