The Rs 20-lakh crore stimulus package, which Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced on Tuesday to revive the economy in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, is one of the largest in the world.
In US dollar terms, it works out to between $266 billion and $270 billion or slightly less than 10% of India's GDP.
Let us put the size of this stimulus package into perspective and see how it compares with the entire GDP of some countries. In fact, the stimulus package is bigger than the GDP of more than 160 nations.
