After leveling the series lead in the last match Indian team will square off against Australia, the current ranked 1 Test team in ICC at Sydney Cricket Ground from 7th December to 11 December. The third test match will be the series decider and crucial one for both the teams.
Previously Australia has won the Adelaide Test while India has fought back in the Boxing Day Test Match at Melbourne. Under Rahane’s captaincy India won the historical match and now looking forward to the series decider.
Sydney is considered as the friendly Test venue for India in Australia. Though India had lost five Tests and won just one out of 12 attempts at SCG. But by the time the tourists move there, they are well settled and acclimatized to conditions down under.
Conditions are quite normal in Sydney; also the pitch has been helping bowling department in the matches played on the tour till now. The government in the New South Wales has reduced the capacity of the Stadium to 25%. Only 9,500 spectators will be allowed per day in the stadium.
According to sources David Warner would play this match but at the same time Warner has stated that he is not sure about his complete fitness. On the other hand Rohit Sharma is set to resume his International cricket after nearly 1 year of break.
Fortunately for India all the five players who were in isolation due to Covid breach in the last week have tested negative. It will be interesting to see what changes India would make in their playing XI for this test. As they have to replace Rohit Sharma and have to play new bowler in the place of Umesh Yadav.
