Bengaluru have been inconsistent this season after winning their first six games, they have lost two games in a row, to ATK Mohun Bagan and Jamshedpur FC. In their previous fixture against Jamshedpur FC, the Blues were disappointed for not scoring even a single point from it. In the first half, Bengaluru had enough chances, but they failed to capitalise on them.

In the head-to-head competition between the two teams, Mumbai City FC clearly has the upper hand as they beat Bengaluru FC three times in six previous games. Bengaluru FC won twice and one match ended in a draw. Bengaluru are yet to grab a win over Mumbai since 2017-18.

Bengaluru to miss the services of Ashique Kuruniyan who is recovering after facial surgery to fix multiple fractures. Erik Paartalu won’t feature in the upcoming fixture as he has been suspended for this game after receiving his fourth yellow card of the season.
