Jane Fonda to receive a prestigious honour at the 2021 Golden Globe awards!

Jane Fonda is an American actress, political activist, environmentalist, and former fashion model. Fonda made her acting debut with the 1960 Broadway play There Was a Little Girl. Since then she made her ways unstoppable in the acting and modelling sectors. She is the recipient of various accolades including two Academy Awards, two BAFTA Awards, seven Golden Globe Awards, a Primetime Emmy Award, the AFI Life Achievement Award, and the Honorary Golden Lion. Now adding more to her kitty, she will be honoured with the Cecil B. deMille Award at the 2021 78th Annual Golden Globe Awards, which will air on February 28. Jane Fonda was recently chosen for a huge honour at the 2021 Golden Globes.

The Golden Globes released a statement via Instagram and announced: “The Hollywood Foreign Press Association takes great pride in bestowing the 2021 Cecil B. deMille Award to Jane Fonda,” HFPA President Ali Sar said in a statement. “For more than five decades, Jane’s breadth of work has been anchored in her unrelenting activism, using her platform to address some of the most important social issues of our time. Her undeniable talent has gained her the highest level of recognition, and while her professional life has taken many turns, her unwavering commitment to evoking change has remained. We are honoured to celebrate her achievements at the 2021 Golden Globe Awards.”

The award is a huge honour and has been awarded to big-name celebrities in the past. Some names of award-holders include Tom Hanks, Oprah Winfrey, Jeff Bridges, Robert De Niro, Audrey Hepburn, Harrison Ford, Jodie Foster, Sophia Loren, Sidney Poitier, Steven Spielberg, Denzel Washington, Robin Williams and many more. Now the next person to behold the award is 83-year-old legend, Jane Fonda.
