During the global quarantine phase, we are trying to get all your favourite stars talking, so that you know what they are up to, how are they dealing with this lockdown and planing for future. We got in touch with Bigg Boss 12 fame, Jasleen Matharu, who was last seen in Mujhse Shaadi Karoge to marry Paras Chabbra and spoke to her about the show, her view point about marriage, kids and more. Excerpts from our conversation below:
How are you dealing with this lockdown?
Being lockdown is not difficult for me as I have already been trained for it in Bigg Boss and Mujhse Shaadi Karoge. Dono ne mujhe sikha diya hai kaise hame hamara 'me' time enjoy karna hai and ghar ke kaam karna hai. In fact, I would say this lockdown is far better for me, at least I can eat of my choice, can call my my loved ones, use Internet for entertainment and most importantly there are no poisonous people around (laughs).
Was the experience same as Bigg Boss in Mujshe Shaadi Karoge?
I had a great time inside and made some really good friends, who not only stood for me inside, but outside also they were there for me.
Why did you take up this show?
You won't believe but I immediately said yes for the show as I was quite impressed with the concept. Maine socha kya pata, shayad Paras ko main acchi lag jaaun ya mujhe vo accha lag jaaye.
But your journey was quite short and your eviction came as a shock to many...
That's what I loved. When I came out of the house, most of the reactions I received were- 'Kaise bahar hogai? Ab show kaun dekhega?' And that made me feel, what I have earned and my fans want to see me more and more.
So, are you actually in a mood to get married and settle down?
Absolutely, it's just that I haven't got that person yet. Mere dil ki ghanti nahi baji abtak.
What kind of man Jasleen wants as her life partner?
I am not looking for someone who is loaded with money or is a Prince Charming, I am looking for some one who stands by me in ups and downs. My father always tells me that marry someone who can be a good father to your kids. And I am focusing on that the most. Jisse mujhe feel aayegi ki ye shaqs mere bacchon ka khayal rakhne ke laayak hai, I will marry that person as I am looking for a good future for my kids. I want to be a great mother.
You think Paras was ready for this Swaymavar as his equation with Akanksha and Mahira is still unclear?
I haven't followed Bigg Boss 13 completely but did see some clips on social media. Frankly, I found him to be a nice guy. I appreciated the fact that he is very expressive. Also, his closeness with Mahira was pure friendship or else he wouldn't have held this Swayamvar.
If Paras chose you as his suitress, would you have married him?
We were together for hardly 16 days and I don't think anyone can decide on his/her life partner in that much time. If I got more time to understand him, then I would have been in a better position to answer this question.
You think choosing Aanchal Khurana was a right decision?
Not at all. I still didn't understand why he chose her and not Navdeesh, who was so good to him. Probably something must have happened between them which we, as viewers, didn't get to see as they spend 24 hours together and the audience gets to see just an hour out of that. Mere hisaab se vo kisiko na choose karta to zyada better hota. Jaise Shehnaaz ne kiya- nahi hai feeling toh nahi hai. Just because you participated in some show and have been asked to choose someone, it is not necessary you do if you don't feel any connection with her.
