2020 is turning out to be a good year as the latest flick from Saif Ali Khan has found favourable response from the audience. His last solo release, Laal Kaptaan, was a disaster but Jaawani Jaaneman earned good reviews and has given him a head start.

While Tanhaji has brought back Saif in lime light again, the good news is that audience have liked Jawaani Jaaneman as per BookMyShow. As Panga and Street Dance 3D, failed at the box office, Jawaani Jaaneman connected with the multiplex janta which opened to a poor response with just 10-15% in the morning shows but was better than his last film, Laal Kaptaan. The movie showed growth towards the end of the day which helped the collections for the first day to end up between Rs 3.24 crore. Jaawani Jaaneman showed a good growth of around 50% on Saturday with Rs 4.55 followed by a decent growth in Sunday with Rs 5.04 crore. As per early estimates, the earnings showed slight drop of around 40% on Monday with Rs 1.90-2 crore, bringing the four days total to somewhere between Rs 14-14.50 crore. The comedy drama need to work on weekdays to make impact at the box office.

The budget of comedy drama is Rs 40 crore (Production Cost: 30 Crore, Prints & Advertising Cost: 10 Crore) and has released in 1500 screens across India. It is directed by Nitin Kakkar who previously made Filmistaan, Mitron and The Notebook. The comedy drama also stars Tabu and Alaya F in key roles.
