The fairytale ending to the year we all need is, of course, for Kanye West and Jay-Z to mend their long rift. The pair were reportedly on the verge of kissing and making up back in September after the drama that followed Ye calling out Jay on-stage during his Saint Pablo tour.

Although Jay might have forgiven him, the fact that Kanye name-checked Jay's wife, Beyonce, and daughter, Blue Ivy, was a step too far the rapper said. Ye reportedly left Tidal weeks later saying his solicitor would be in touch over a number of advances and bonuses which totalled around £2.5 million.

But it appears something of the Christmas spirit has come over Jay-Z as he called out Kanye whilst on stage last night and sent good tidings his way.

During a Chicago stop of his Watch The Throne tour Jay-Z had the DJ play West's "Can't Tell Me Nothin'," and then yelled, "Shout out Kanye West. Peace and love." He then added, "That was for you, Chi-town."

But the praise wasn't just for Kanye as Jay-Z went on to shout out Chance the Rapper, just to make sure he didn't feel too special.
