Jenna Dewan has spoken openly about motherhood and the possibility of having more children, just weeks before giving birth to her second child.

In September, Dewan and her boyfriend Steve Kazee announced that they were expecting their first child together after a year of dating. The professional dancer is already mother to six-year-old Everly, whose father is Dewan’s ex-husband Channing Tatum.

During a recent interview with Roselyn Sanchez and Eric Winter on their He Said, Ella Dijo podcast, the 39-year-old star said she can’t say ‘no’ to the chance of expanding her brood.

‘This time around, people are asking me, "Are you done?" Every time I go to say, "I’m done”,’ she said. 'I can’t say it, so it’s very interesting to me.

'Am I going to have another kid? I don’t know, I’ll leave it up to the universe.'

In January, the Step Up actress revealed that her daughter is ‘excited’ at the prospect of having a sibling.

‘She’s old enough to understand that she’s going to have responsibilities and she’s a big sister,’ Dewan previously told US Weekly. ‘She’s taking it very seriously.'

'She just said to me this morning: "I’m preparing myself for that baby to cry all the time”.’

The dancer and Tatum announced their split in April 2018 after nine years of marriage, before finalising their divorce in November 2019.

Last week, The Blast reported that the couple had reached a ‘50/50’ custody agreement over Everly following months of deliberation.

In November, E! News reported that in legal documents filed in a California court and obtained by the news outlet, Tatum filed a request for the court to issue orders with regard to child custody and visitation of their daughter.

The publication reported that the pair had previously agreed on a summer holiday schedule, but that the actor had proposed stipulations for traveling with their child and taking her out of school and spending public holidays with each parent in future.
