It's hard to remember a time before showbiz's favourite couple John Legend and Chrissy Teigen got together, but there was - and the singer has just opened up about it in an honest new interview.
John spoke to Dax Shepard and Monica Padman for their podcast Armchair Expert, and discussed single life before meeting Chrissy in 2006. Responding to Dax explaining he had a "horrendous history of cheating", John said he also had "a history of [cheating]".
"Definitely in my 20s," he went on. "I think what happened for me, you go through a lot of your life in your teens and I was younger than everybody in high school and college, and so I just didn't get a lot of girls. When I started to get that attention, I loved it."
John said he kept his relationships "ill-defined" so it wasn't "technically cheating", though went on to concede that actually it was. "I definitely was dishonest and selfish... It was happening before I was famous," he continued.
However, in 2006 he met Chrissy on the set of his music video and everything changed. The pair married in 2013 and now have two children together.
"At a certain point, you just realise you're happier being honest," he continued. "You're happier being faithful and being in love with one person. At a certain point, I just decided that person was Chrissy. I decided I wasn't going to mess with somebody else anymore."
Sharing details about their very first meeting, he said, "We've talked about it before, but we had sex the first night and hit it off."
"We were both seeing other people at the time. There was kind of a looseness at the very beginning, but we fell in love not long after that."
The 'All Of Me' singer was also asked about being so accessible through social media and if it had any impact on their relationship.
"I feel like it almost makes it less likely that I would do anything to f**k it up. Chrissy has 12 million Twitter followers. If I were to do anything, it would be career suicide," he shared. "It would be terrible. It just gives you another reason to not f**k it up."
