Karnataka: 3,000 Covid-19 patients go missing in Bengaluru, Minister requests to switch on phones

Amid surging Covid-19 cases in the state of Karnataka, 3,000 Covid infected people have switched off their phones and gone 'missing' from Bengaluru. Karnataka revenue minister R Ashoka said most of those infected with Covid have switched off their phones and are not letting people know about their whereabouts, which is making things difficult. The government has imposed a lockdown for 14 days restricting the unnecessary movement of people starting from Tuesday night to contain Covid cases, which is rising at an alarming proportion. Karnataka on Wednesday reported a super spike in the number of coronavirus cases with nearly 40,000 fresh Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours.
