Kartik Aaryan buys apartment in which he once lived as paying guest: Report
Kartik Aaryan has bought the apartment in which he lived as a paying guest during his struggler days. DNA reports that he has shelled out Rs 1.60 crore for the fifth-floor flat in Rajkiran Co-op Housing Society on Yari Road, which has a carpet area of 459 sq ft.
According to papers accessed by the publication, Kartik made the purchase in May this year. His mother Mala Tiwari's name and their Gwalior address is also on the documents.
Earlier, on a chat show, Kartik opened up on his struggle to make ends meet when he first came to Mumbai. "I didn't have a place to stay when I came to Mumbai. I stayed in a hostel. I have stayed with 12 guys in a flat. That was something I never thought I would do because I hail from Gwalior, which is not an expensive city to live in, but Mumbai is really expensive," he said.
"We had our share of struggles. We used to go to auditions, wahaan pe 'not fit' ho jaata tha. I used to travel without tickets in local trains from Navi Mumbai to Mumbai when I was auditioning. I didn't even have that much money," he added.
On the work front, Kartik recently wrapped up Imtiaz Ali's Aaj Kal, the sequel to Love Aaj Kal. He will be seen romancing Sara Ali Khan in the film, which also stars Randeep Hooda in a key role.
Presented by Jio Studios, Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films, Imtiaz Ali and Reliance Entertainment's Window Seat Films, Aaj Kal will release on February 14, 2020.
