Kerala Blasters will play Odisha FC at the GMC Stadium for the Indian Super League game at 7:30 PM IST. Kerala Blasters have acquired the 10th spot with six points while Odisha FC has occupied the 11th spot with two points.
Kerala Blasters played eight matches out of which they lost four games, drew thrice and won once. Odisha FC also had eight games, they lost six matches, drew twice and are yet to win a match.
Kerala Blasters are having a disappointing tournament so far as they managed to win only one game and that victory came against Hyderabad FC in December. The team hasn’t been able to deliver collectively. Kibu Vicuna hasn’t managed to find the perfect line-up. The Blasters’ last game was against Mumbai City FC and the latter came out victorious.
Odisha FC are at the bottom of the ISL standings. They haven’t managed to secure a victory so far in the tournament. Odisha isn’t able to perform in spite of having big names in their squad. Players like Marcelinho, Steven Taylor and Diego Mauricio haven’t found the rhythm yet. The team will be looking for their first win of the on-going season in the upcoming game against Kerala.
Kerala Blasters and Odisha FC played two matches against each other last season. Both games ended in a stalemate. The first fixture ended in a goalless draw while the second one ended in a 4-4 draw.
Vicuna said that he won’t be available for the next week. Bakary Kone and Gary Hooper missed out on the previous two games and could be making a comeback against Odisha FC.
Odisha FC’s Geroge D’Souza looked good in his debut match against Mumbai City. However he picked an injury and is still out. Hendry Antonay replaced D’Souza at right-back in his absence.
