Kim Kardashian Wears a Thong-Baring Givenchy Dress on Instagram

Having recently declared that the velour tracksuit is coming back, Kim Kardashian appears to be resurrecting another vintage trend: the exposed thong.

Posing in a stunning Givenchy dress with a very low-cut back, Kim showed off her red string thong. The dress is from Matthew Williams's first Givenchy collection as the brand's Creative Director.

Kim captioned the sleek snaps, "WOW @matthewmwilliams ✨ Congratulations on your first @givenchyofficial collection! It is such a beautiful collection. I can’t wait to wear all of the looks you’ve sent!!! 🖤."

Kim's little sister, Kendall Jenner, also posed in Givenchy to launch the collection. Wearing a completely sheer gown, Kendall wrote, "@matthewmwilliams dressed me up 🤠😌 at home in the new @givenchyofficial by MATT WILLIAMS congrats you genius!!! what a beautiful collection."

Williams was appointed as Givenchy's Creative Director in June 2020. At the time, he revealed in a statement shared with WWD, "In these unprecedented times for the world, I want to send a message of hope, together with my community and colleagues, and intend to contribute towards positive change."

"The maison’s unique position and timeless aura make it an undeniable icon and I am looking forward to working together with its ateliers and teams," Williams explained, calling the appointment as "lifelong dream."

Williams replaced designer Clare Waight Keller, who announced that she was stepping down from the role in April 2020 after three years at the helm of Givenchy. Keller was the was the first woman to helm the French fashion house, and she was responsible for designing Meghan Markle's unforgettable wedding gown.
