Kourtney Kardashian and Addison Rae's unlikely friendship is going from strength to strength, after the Keeping Up With The Kardashian member shared a sweet birthday message for the TikTok star.

When Kourtney, 41, and Addison, now 20, first started hanging out, some fans were dubious - namely because of their age gap. But Kourt has since clapped back at criticism of their friendship, and Addison has explained how it organically came about.

She says the friendship goes back to January when Kourtney enlisted the help of YouTuber David Dobrik to help launch her son Mason's TikTok account. David then asked Addison to get involved.

"I met Kourtney through a friend, through David," Rae told The Tom Ward Show in June. "We surprised Mason, because Mason liked my videos on TikTok." She added that "I kind of just stuck around and we got really close."

Fast forward to October, and Addison just celebrated turning 20 - something which Kourtney marked with an Instagram grid post dedicated to her new friend. "Everyone wish a happy happy birthday to this angel @addisonraee (A real friendship reel 馃槤)" she wrote to her 102million followers, along with the pair hanging out.

While there was ~some~ scepticism of their friendship (one person asked "What do you two actually talk about lol you have nothing in common?), the comments were also filled with people sharing their happiness for the pair. "Friendship we never knew we needed," one person wrote.

Another added, "This friendship is iconic鉂楋笍馃敟" while a third said, "THIS FRIENDSHIP IS FLAWLESS AND PURE 馃槏"

While the age gap might be a little out of the ordinary, who are we to judge their friendship?
