This Kumkum Bhagya actress is going to enter The Kapil Sharma Show

The Kapil Sharma Show is all set to have yet another new entry

Ever since Sunil Grover, Ali Asgar and Chandan Prabhakar have quit The Kapil Sharma Show, the makers have been on a scout for actors/comedians to fill their space. Upasana Singh was brought back on the show a few episodes back and the latest one to join the team is Supriya Shukla. The actress is currently seen in the role of Sarla, Pragya’s (Sriti Jha) mother, in Zee TV’s popular show Kumkum Bhagya.

She will reportedly play a woman from Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, who has recently shifted to Mumbai. Speaking about joining TKSS, Supriya told Times Of India,”I was a bit nervous since this happens to be my first stint with comedy. However, Kapil and his team were really supportive. I will be bringing in the Kanpur flavour, and have worked hard along with the writers of the show on the lingo as well.”

The Kapil Sharma Show, which once used to reign the TRP charts, has been struggling for viewership from the last few weeks. Kapil and Sunil’s infamous mid-air fight had an extremely negative affect on the show’s popularity. Sunil’s exit inspired Ali and Kapil’s childhood friend Chandan to leave the show and what happened next is known to everyone. Kapil and team are trying their best to resurrect the show and their attempts are showing results too. Kapil’s show has seen substantial growth on the BARC report in the last two weeks. Let’s hope that Supriya’s entry gives the show the much-required boost.
