Lacey Turner has named her daughter Dusty Violet Kay.
The 31-year-old EastEnders star and her husband Matt Kay have welcomed a baby girl weighing 6lb 7oz on Friday July 12th.
Turner, who has previously revealed she suffered two miscarriages, told OK! magazine: ““Dusty’s our little miracle – we call her Special Kay!"
The actress - best known for playing Albert Square’s Stacey Slater in the BBC soap - explained how they chose their daughter’s name.
Turner said: “It wasn’t on our original list but we did an internet search for ‘pretty girls’ names’ and we both said it at the same time!
“Her middle name is Violet, which I also love. We’ve had mixed reactions, people either think it’s really cool or they don’t really know what to say!”
Kay added: "The only other Dusty I know is Dusty Springfield. We do like Dusty Springfield but she wasn’t named after her!”
Turner and Kay did not find out the sex of their baby during the pregnancy.
Turner said: “I wouldn’t have minded either way but I always thought it was a girl. Also, it’s easier to dress her in the colours I like!"
She added : "I was quite big at the end of my pregnancy and everyone thought I was going to have a 10lb baby, but Dusty was only 6lb 7oz."
The couple married on a beach in Ibiza in 2017.
