Nothing compares to that soul-crushing feeling of dropping your favourite makeup palette. One second it's your holy grail highlighter, the next it's a broken, shattered dream.
Before you go and commit that £30 highlighter to an early grave/the bin, I'm here to tell you that hope is not lost...
Yep, it's actually pretty easy to fix broken makeup powders - or at least the women over at YouTube.com/BeautyNews make it look super-simple. The duo often destroy makeup palettes on their channel in order to measure the contents (for reviews and brand comparisons, not because they're masochists). Fixing them is easy, the pair simply mix the broken makeup with a little rubbing alcohol, aka, Isopropyl Alcohol, then scoop the mixture back into the palette, press it, and leave to dry. The alcohol evaporates after around 24hours so it doesn't mess with the formula. Easy, peasy.
That being said, if you prefer a more natural option there's now a clever little product called 'Moon Mousse' that can also fix your makeup, and all the ingredients are plant-based:
Moon Mouse Ingredients: Witch Hazel with all natural grain alcohol, Decyl Glucoside, Lavender Oil, Jojoba Oil, Coconut Oil, Vitamin E
