2014 saw the fantastic response to the action thriller Ek Villain, directed by Mohit Suri and starring Riteish Deshmukh , Sidharth Malhotra and Shraddha Kapoor. Now, Riteish Deshmukh and Sidharth Malhotra are coming back together in the masala entertainment – Marjaavaan, which is hitting the theaters tomorrow.
A remake of Korean thriller, I Saw the Devil, Ek Villain saw a terrific response by the audience who gave a thumbs up to its music and performances which turned the movie into a blockbuster, collecting Rs 105.50 crore at the box office. Now, the director of Satyameva Jayate, Milap Zaveri, is bringing Riteish Deshmukh and Sidharth Malhotra for yet another action masala entertainment, Marjaavaan, which is being backed by Nikhil Advani, Madhu Bhojwani and Monisha Advani of Emmay Entertainment.
The trailer of Marjaavaan was well received as it crossed 41 million views since it release one month back. Marjaavaan, also starring Tara Sutaria and Rakul Preet, is aiming at the mass centers and has pretty solid music backing it up. Sidharth Malhotra still needs to hit a six as he has not been able to deliver hits on his own. Riteish Deshmukh is well-liked in comedy films but also has impressed the audience in EK Villain in a dark and shady role.
Ayushmann Khurrana starrer Bala has been receiving overwhelming response from the audience and it will impact Marjaavaan in the multiplex section. As per our analysis, Marjaavaan has the chance to score somewhere between Rs 6-7 crore on its first day. If the reviews are good, it might do well at the mass centers and has the chance to put up a good total in its first weekend.
Marjaavaan tells the story of Raghu and Zoya whose lives turns upside when a local gang lord enters their life.
