The Riteish Deshmukh and Sidharth Malhotra starrer Marjaavaan showed a very good hold on Tuesday at the box office.
Directed by Milap Zaveri, Marjaavan had a good first weekend collecting Rs 24.42 crore where mass circuits contributed immensely while collections from multiplexes were poor.

Marjaavaan opened on a good note with Rs 7.03 crore. There was limited growth on Saturday with Rs 7.52 crore. The masala entertainment showed a strong growth on Sunday with Rs 10.18 crore while Monday was good with Rs 4.15 crore.
As per early estimates, the earnings of Marjaavaan dropped by 15% as mass circuits showed a strong footfalls, earning some where between Rs 3-3.50 crore, bringing the 5 days collections to Rs 32-33 crore.

Marjaavaan tells the story of Raghu and Zoya whose lives turns upside when a local gang lord enters their life. Marjaavaan is being backed by Nikhil Advani, Madhu Bhojwani and Monisha Advani of Emmay Entertainment. The masala entertainment is estimated to be made on a budget of Rs 50 crore (Production Cost: 40 Crore, Prints & Advertising Cost: 10 Crore)
