Marakkar Arabikadalinte Simham, the Mohanlal starrer is unarguably the most awaited upcoming project of the Malayalam film industry. Recently, director Priyadarshan finally opened up about the release of the Mohanlal starrer. In a recent interview, the senior filmmaker revealed that the makers are in no hurry to release Marakkar Arabikadalinte Simham.
In the interview, director Priyadarshan and producer Antony Perumbavoor revealed that the Mohanlal starrer will hit the theaters only after a few Malayalam films release on the theaters, post the lockdown. The team is waiting for the audiences to come to the theaters without fear. Priyadarshan, the director also confirmed that the movie will get a massive release, as planned earlier. Marakkar Arabikadalinte Simham will hit the screens at 12 AM, unlike the usual Malayalm releases, whenever it hit the screens. The makers want the movie to complete 1000 shows across the world, within the morning of its release day.
In that case, Marakkar Arabikadalinte Simham is expected to be released on around 5000 screens across the world. But, considering the current situation, it will take at least another year for the film industry to come back to its normal state. So, it has been confirmed that it is impossible for the Mohanlal starrer to hit the theaters at least till the first half of 2021.
Mohanlal appears as the titular character Kunjali Marakkar IV in teh movie, which features his son Pranav Mohanlal as young Kunjali. Marakkar Arabikadalinte Simham features an extensive star cast including Manju Warrier, Keerthy Suresh, Suniel Shetty, Arjun Sarja, Prabhu Ganesan, Mukesh, Siddique, Nedumudi Venu, Innocent, Mamukoya, Kalyani Priyadarshan, and so on in the other pivotal roles. The magnum opus is jointly produced by Aashirvad Cinemas, Confident Group, and Moonshot entertainments.
