Rohan and Khristina's home in Mumbai, India

Our home style has always been minimalist and functional. But the fact remains that over and above all that, our home is designed to cater to the needs of our beloved four rescue cats. #AdoptDontShop

#MyHomeMyStyle: 'Our home revolves around our cats'

Our home style has always been minimalist and functional. The colours we use are mostly whites and greys, with pops of green through our plants or through our cushion covers.

However, the fact remains that our home revolves around our three beloved rescue cats, Luke, Leia and Chloe. We recently added another kitten to our brood, Shreddy, but we do not have good pictures with her yet. During this extended lockdown period, and without the maid to help, it is difficult to keep up with all the shedding fur, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. #AdoptDontShop

This is an urgent appeal to all those with pets during this extended lockdown period. PLEASE do not abandon your pets. They are members of your family. There is nothing more irresponsible than leaving your pets who have no clue about the outside world to fend for themselves. Please don’t.

(This home belongs to Mumbai-based Rohan and Khristina Jacob; Rohan is a businessman and Khristina is an editor.)
