NBA Legend Kobe Bryant No More, Dies At 41 In A Helicopter Crash

The 41-year-old basketball legend, Kobe Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna died in a helicopter crash in Calabasa, California, on Sunday morning. Bryant was one of the most successful basketball players along with being one of the masterful scorers of all times. The Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva said in a press conference that there were nine people aboard the helicopter when it crashed, leaving no survivors.

Adam Silver, who is the current NBA spokesperson sent out an official statement which read,

“The NBA family is devastated by the tragic passing of Kobe Bryant and his daughter, Gianna. … We send our heartfelt condolences to his wife, Vanessa, and their family, the Lakers organization and the entire sports world.”

Spending his lustrous 20 year career with Los Angeles Lakers, Kobe was a five-time NBA champion, 11-time All-NBA first-team selection, 2008 MVP, two-time Finals MVP, 18-time All-Star and four-time All-Star MVP  before announcing his retirement. His death has left all his fans and supporters in utter dismay as he was truly a hero and a motivational figure to them.
