Actor-producer Aamir Khan, who made his television debut with the socially conscious talk show Satyamev Jayate, recently proved that he practices what he preaches.
It seems that the actor has teamed up with a NGO for building a shelter for women in the Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra. The shelter, which will provide a home for persecuted and abandoned women, will provide short-term shelter, schooling and medical facilities for the women. There are also reports that Aamir has donated a whopping sum of Rs. 5 crores for the construction of the shelter, which will be inaugurated on January 26.
Aamir Khan, who was last seen playing a troubled cop in Reema Kagti's Talaash, will be next seen playing the antagonist in YRF flick Dhoom 3, which also stars Abhishek Bachchan, Uday Chopra and Katrina Kaif.
