Co-producers Ashwini Yardi and Akshay Kumar are planning to venture into regional cinema with a Marathi film called '72 Miles-Ek Pravas', based on Ashok Vatkar's autobiography.
Their company Grazing Goat Pictures ventured into production with the film 'OMG Oh My God!', starring Paresh Rawal. Talks are on about a sequel to that film as well.
Talking about the Marathi film, Yardi was quoted saying that she has always wanted to make one for her grandfather, who was one of V. Shantaram's partners in Prabhat Film Company in 1920s, and her father.
Akshay revealed that their Punjabi film is still being scripted and that they will soon be getting into Bengali and South markets as well. On the subject of the Marathi language, the actor-producer said that it's very important for him to know the language of the place he considers home.
