One of the bright talents of the new Hindi cinema, Chandan Roy Sanyal, is best remembered for his explosive act in Vishal Bhardwaj's KAMINEY, but that is a thing of the past. The actor is now looking forward to three new releases- the Nikhil Advani directed D-DAY, Ashish Shukla's PRAGUE and Abbas Tyrewala's MANGO. But for now, we are more interested in his forthcoming D-DAY.
The honest and straight talking Chandan was quick to clarify the fact that he essays a cameo in the film and not a full-fledged role. Says Chandan, "I play Rishi Kapoor's nephew in D-DAY but it is a high octane role."
Talking about Rishi Kapoor Chandan revealed, "He is very fond of me. Actually D-DAY is my third film with him. I have already worked with him in TELL ME O KHUDA and will also be seen with him in Subhash Ghai's KAANCHI. Rishi ji is very encouraging and always asks me to work in more films."
The topical D-DAY hits the cinemas this Friday and we are sure that as always Chandan Roy Sanyal will leave a mark, thanks to his eclectic histrionic prowess.
