Daniel Craig in running for Bodie role in Capri-make of 'The Professionals'

London, July 22(ANI): The Professionals' creator Brian Clemens is set to treat the show's fans with a Capri-make of the classic TV cop series in the form of a big budget movie.

The 81-year-old, who received an OBE in 2010, is currently seeking actors to star as no-nonsense action men Bodie and Doyle, which are originally played by a Martin Shaw and Lewis Collins, the Mirror reported.

The film which is due to start shooting before the end of the year will be executive produced on the film.

He told the publication that it's going to be a big action movie, whose script is done but they are looking at casting now.

Clemens said that there are some big names being talked about and getting the right people is very important, because the show means a lot to the fans.

He said the remake would be set into the modern day as it was too hard to get period details right.

Daniel Craig, 45, Transporter star Jason Statham, 45, Inception hunk Tom Hardy, 35, and even Tom Cruise, 51 have been named to play Bodie. (ANI)
