Hennessey Unleashes 1,000HP Corvette Stingray

Texas-based tuners Hennessey are synonymous with some of the most outrageous, earth-moving rides on the planet. They’re even able pull 700 horses from cars like the Camaro and Mustang. But now they’ve taken on the new Corvette Stingray, and things are about to get pretty powerful.

1,000-hp, to be exact. That’s what Hennessey hopes to achieve when they officially unveil their top end twin-turbocharged Corvette Stingray in the flesh. Hennessey also promises to include toned down 600-, 700-, and 800-hp options, for something a little less insane.

Outside, the ‘Vette remains surprisingly subtle. A sharp new front end upgrade tacks on a revised front splitter giving way to an enlarged intake. We see new wheels, a sharper set of side skirts and a more aerodynamic rear wing.

Official performance numbers have yet to be given, but considering the Hennessey C6′s history of 3.3 seconds to 60 mph and a top speed of well over 200 mph, we don’t expect anything less from the next-gen.

Expect customers to be able to get their hands on the kit by the end of this year.
