Apoorva Lakhia's Zanjeer remake, which is courting enough controversies since day one, has fresh trouble to deal with now, it seems. The Bombay High Court has ordered that the trailer of the film should not be aired till further notice.
This order was passed following a complaint by Sumeet and Puneet, the sons of Prakash Mehra that Amit Mehra, who had bought the remake rights of the film, has defaulted on his payments, running into crores. Needless to say, Sumeet and Puneet terminated the contract granting the remake rights following this, leading to a legal battle.
Starring Ram Charan Teja, Priyanka Chopra, Sanjay Dutt and Prakash Raj, Zanjeer is the remake to a 70s blockbuster starring Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bhaduri, Ajit and Pran.
