My second day off in Mumbai and I used it to take care of things for the road ahead. I gave my riding suit a wash as it was becoming quite greasy and nasty to the touch. I think the last time it was washed was in Windhoek, Namibia. I gave the helmet and gloves a wash, too. It's nice to wear fresh gear.
I went back to Anthony to take care of a few more things on sanDRina. I modified my clutch lever as it was too short for the new heavy-duty springs in the clutch and Anthony welded an extension to the lever, making it easier to use the clutch.
Arunoday took me on my errands and I stocked up on ORS (oral rehydration salt) packets for the super heat coming up as I head inland from here. We then grabbed some good food at the Indigo Delicatessen and I gorged on some juicy pork chops and broccoli; food that I haven't eaten in a long time. In the evening, Arunonday took me out for a night on the town and we met up with old friends at Olive, a hip club in Bandra.
Good to get a taste of the Indian high life and now back to the road...
Jay's itching to be back on the road. Watch the helmet-cam video of his ride through Maharashtra's ghat roads.
