RACE 2 is all set for release next Friday and for John Abraham, it is a major platform to return to action fold all over again. With Saif Ali Khan as his co-star, the film is also setting the stage for an ideal combination of cool and hot coming on screen
"Yes, with Saif and me around, the film is a complete face off of these two people. In fact this is what makes the film very impressive since the game that begins is that of one upmanship", says John.
The film is also being considered special for a vital action sequence which is arguably one of the most novel ones to have arrived on the Indian silver screen.
"You have never seen such a sequence before", says a source, "It is a fight sequence with a 300 pounds fighter names Andrew from South Africa. I trained for two months with Vietnamese trainers. There are some kicks that I could never think I could possibly do. However I managed to do that and that too with a rotating 540 degrees kick in the air. All of this is something that I have done in a cage fight and that too without cables."
As usual, John broke a few bones and went off wincing in pain. In his words though, 'it was all worth it'.
"It had to be. My character is meant to be physically and intellectually invincible in the film and that comes across in the fight sequences. It is one of the most massive action sequences for a Hindi film. While people have a song and dance item number, this is my item number in the film", quips John before signing off.
