Actor-filmmaker Kamal Haasan, who has decided to premiere his upcoming spy thriller Vishwaroop on DTH a day before its theatrical release, has now approached the police after receiving threats.
In his complaint to the police, Haasan alleged that he has been receiving threats that the movie would be pirated and power supply to the cinemas, where the screenings would take place, would be suspended. Apart from approaching the cops, Kamal also sought the State government's help and met State Home Secretary R Rajagopal, claim sources.
Apart from Kamal Haasan, Vishwaroop also stars Pooja Kumar, Andrea Jeremiah, Shekhar Kapur and Jaideep Ahlawat. The film is slated to release on January 11.
