Karan Johar's Father Killed Shah Rukh Khan In 'Kal Ho Na Ho'!

Filmmaker Karan Johar, who had directed the tragic love story Kal Ho Na Ho starring Shah Rukh Khan, Saif Ali Khan and Preity Zinta, recently revealed that he had wanted a different ending for the film.

In the final scenes of the film, SRK's character is shown on his death-bed and KJo admitted that though he wanted a different ending, his father Yash Johar advised him to let the character pass away as he felt that the audience would weep on seeing a character, played by a superstar, breathing his last. Johar added that now when he sees the movie, he wishes it had ended differently.

The 2003 film is often compared to the Rajesh Khanna-Amitabh Bachchan starrer Anand as it features a happy-go-lucky character, who suffers from a terminal ailment, but never lets it come in the way of his desire to lead a fulfilling life.
