'Lootera' Lad Turns Year Older!

Ranveer Singh, who recently impressed everyone with his performance in Vikramaditya Motwane's Lootera, turns an year older today and what could be a better gift than the appreciation that he has received for his talent!

Born in Mumbai, Ranveer had always wanted to be an actor since his childhood. However, during his college days he felt that the idea of acting was far-fetched and focused on creative writing. While pursuing his Bachelor of Arts degree from Indiana University (Bloomington), Singh again became interested in acting and after coming back to India, started auditioning for lead roles in the Hindi film industry.

After a brief struggling period, Ranveer managed to bag the lead role in YRF film Band Baaja Baaraat, a rom-com about a love story set against the backdrop of wedding planning in New Delhi. Singh impressed everyone with his acting skills and came to be hailed as a star on the rise. Following this, Singh starred in another YRF project Ladies V/S Ricky Bahl, where he played the role of a charming con-man, who finally meets his match and falls in love with her.

Singh was last seen in Lootera, where he gave a very restrained and likeable performance. The Bandra boy will be next seen in Ram Leela opposite Deepika Padukone and in Gunday, where he will team up with another YRF lad Arjun Kapoor.
