Veteran actor Manoj Kumar, who had been miffed with the makers of Om Shanti Om back then for spoofing him in a scene in the movie, has now decided to file a massive lawsuit worth Rs. 100 crore against the producers, Eros International, for not deleting the scenes while screening the movie in Japan.
In a statement, Manoj said that he has now proof that they have shown Om Shanti Om in Japan without deleting the derogatory scenes. He added that not only have they disrespected him, but have also courted contempt of court charges as when the film had released in 2008 and he had taken them to court, the court had asked them to forever delete those scenes from all prints and broadcast materials.
Directed by Farah Khan and starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and Arjun Rampal, Om Shanti Om was a story of love, re-incarnation and vengeance.
