Ranbir Kapoor Claims He Lost Faith In Awards Post 'Saawariya'

Bollywood actor and youth icon Ranbir Kapoor might have been lauded for his stellar performances in many of his films, including his last release Barfi!, but the actor claims that he doesn’t take awards too seriously.

In a recent interview, the actor was quoted saying that though he has won many awards throughout his career, he doesn’t take it too seriously as he lost faith in the awards system after the disastrous fate of his debut film Saawariya. He added that he does films for rewards (accolades) and not awards.

Ranbir will be next seen in Abhinav Kashyap’s Besharam, where he will share screen space with his parents Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh, who will be seen playing a pair of Haryanvi cops.
