The sensational Reeth Mazumdar has already achieved global fame thanks to her international projects, especially SWEN, which has won awards at many prestigious film festivals around the world.
Quite well known in regional cinema as well and a proficient dancer in almost all forms (Salsa, Lambada, Kathak etc) Reeth is all set to storm the Hindi cinema.
When we caught up with Reeth Mazumdar, she was in the picturesque hill station Nainital, shooting for her first Hindi film, and she told us, "The film still does not have a name but the working title is SUN LADKI. It is a film by Ishaan Trivedi who also directed the Irrfan Khan and Juhi Chawla starrer 7 1/2 SAAT PHERE. And the cinematography is by Attar Singh Saini who captured Akshay-Asin's KHILADI 786.
We queried Reeth further about the contents of the film she revealed, "The film is of mockumentary genre, which for a layman would translate as a paranormal thriller. The biggest market for mockumentary films is Australia, but we are sure that the Indian audience too will love it." Please go on..., and Reeth told us about the progress of her film, "The shooting part should be over by April 15th then we will get into pre-production. And hopefully release the film sometime in May."
Well, after Zombie films, it's now time for the mockumentary genre; Hindi cinema is coming of age! And with an internationally acclaimed talent like Reeth Mazumdar leading the star cast, we are sure that things will only look up from here on!
