Mumbai, Feb 10 (IANS) The Scottish play "HeLa" is all set to entertain Indian audiences - it will tour three cities with the first staging taking place Saturday here.

Directed by Graham Eatough and performed by Adura Onashile, "HeLa", an adaptation of Rebecca Skloot's bestseller "The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks", talks incisively about individual rights, discrimination and ethics.

Produced by Iron-Oxide, "HeLa" has been brought to India by QTP, live entertainment and production house, as part of its 15th anniversary celebrations.

QTP has associated with the British Council to bring "HeLa" to India.

"While watching 'HeLa' at the Edinburgh Fringe festival 2013, we realised that here was a production that shared our values about what theatre can and should be," Quasar Thakore Padamsee, artistic director, QTP, said in a statement.

"'HeLa' talks incisively about individual rights, discrimination and ethics; all pertinent issues that have dominated recent Indian headlines," Padamsee said.

The play will be shown in Mumbai till Feb 17. Delhi audience can enjoy the performance from Feb 21 to Feb 23.

The tour will conclude March 2 in Bangalore.
