Director Sudhir Mishra, who has given gems like Chameli, Yeh Saali Zindagi and Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi to name a few, is now looking forward to the release of his forthcoming film Inkaar. The movie features Arjun Rampal and Chitrangda Singh in the lead roles and Mishra feels that the two actors were best suited for his movie.
At a recent event, when he was asked why he chose to cast Singh and Rampal in his film, the director said, “Sometimes you get lucky, while writing the script two faces jump out at you and for this film those two faces were Arjun and Chitrangada, I went to them and they said yes. The film tackles certain strong issue and when you look at Arjun, he doesn't come across as someone who wants to harass somebody. I wanted to make a film with two points of view and throughout the film you'll swing between two points of view, you don't know who is right, it's kind of a conflict."
“It's a volatile atmosphere… the urban work space where women are now claiming their rightful place and men have to adjust to a lot of things. Men have to adjust to a loss of power; it's not easy for men. Women too are subjected to pressures of the modern urban work space and there is a volatile cocktail that exists there and I wanted to make a film on that and these were the two ideal people for the film,” he further added.
I nkaar deals with the issue of sexual harassment at work place and is all set to release on 18 January 2013.
