So you are one of the proud owners of a brand new 2014 Chevrolet Silverado, and say to yourself, “Gee, this full-size, four door pickup just isn’t fast enough.” Thankfully, Lingenfelter has you covered. The tuner of all things GM and/or V8 spends a lot of their time on Corvettes and Camaros, but has turned its attention to the 2014 Silverado, and truck owners everywhere are better for it.
Lingenfelter has taken the 5.3-liter direct-injected V8, and tossed a supercharger on top. The result is horsepower increased from 302 to 321 horsepower, and torque is up from 332 to 355 pound feet of torque.
Lingenfelter took this muscled up pickup to Muncie Dragway, and the Silverado put down a hefty quarter mile time of 13.89 seconds, with a crossing speed of 100.07, using 93 octane pump gasoline.
This is a pretty impressive feat for a pickup. No word on pricing or availability, but we’ll be sure to bring you the specs as they come in.
