South superstar Chiyaan Vikram, who was last seen playing the role of a scruffy and alcoholic fisherman in Bejoy Nambiar's David, has received many accolades for his performance in the film and the star claimed that he had to borrow Nambiar's dirty footwear to play the character.
In an interview, Vikram said, “My role in the film is that of a scruffy fisherman, so I had grown my hair and beard. Apart from that, my character also has a certain way of walking and dressing. Infact, I had bought a pair of chappals for the role, but they looked very new and I wanted them to be old and dirty. So when I saw that Bejoy had such a pair, I asked for it and borrowed the pair of dirty footwear to wear in the film.”
Vikram also added that post David, he has got around five acting offers from Bollywood filmmakers and he is yet to meet them and go through the scripts.
