“In My Next I’m Taking A Break From Game-Changing Ventures ,” Says Ayushmann Khurrana

Amar Singh Rathore

Seems like Ayushmann Khurrana is very clear-headed about breaking the monotony in his line-up of films. Read on…

With 7 back-to-back commercially successful films, Ayushmann Khurrana is on an all time high along with being called the new-age perfectionist of Bollywood. His films have just not provided wholesome entertainment but have been high on content and brimmed with social-relevance. From Article 15 to Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan, clearly the actor has proved his graph and reach as an actor.

Seems like the actor wants to take a break from movies with a social-message for a while and wanted to do something out of the ox yet crazy! An excited Khurrana was quoted saying,

“After a series of  socially relevant films Gulabo Sitabo is  my  first out-and-out entertainer about these two squabbling  souls from different generations. Amitji is my landlord and I am  his tenant. And we  just don’t see eye to eye.”

He continued on the same thread by adding,

“All my recent film have tackled issues. This one  is  pure fun, and  I  had so  much fun  doing it.  I  was sharing screen space for  the  first time with  Amitji. That in  itself  was enough  incentive  to be part of Gulabo Sitabo. On top of that, this  is a  film directed  by my mentor Shoojitda (Shoojit Sircar). Even if he asked me to just stand in one frame  for a few seconds I’d do it happily.”

Well, seems like we are going to see something purely entertaining from the actor who seems to have got the midas touch off lately.

“But  it’s not as if I am going to be  invisible. There are ads  to be  shot, events  to be attended, public appearances will continue. Besides , I am  constantly reading scripts. And I’ve already said yes to one new project,” concluded Ayushmann.

We are never getting enough of him for sure!
